Many months have passed since I first thought of this essay. While I was quite daunted by the challenge that lay behind such an essay, an unexpected event inspired me to get down to writing it. And after spending many days just staring at a blank page, wringing my head in frustration as the words struggled to get out, pacing up and down the room thinking of the best way to express myself, I have finally completed an essay that I am satisfied with for submission to an essay competition.
So, I guess I will share the final draft of my essay with you guys. I will most likely be submitting it on Monday, so there’s still room for me to incorporate whatever feedback I receive.
For those who are wondering, the competition is the Chief of Army Essay Competition. So yes, I will be submitting it to the army.
